Taught by Ann Hostetler.

During the cold, bleak months of winter seeds underground prepare to burst forth with beauty and color. In this contemplative workshop we will form a circle of writing and sharing during lent — a traditional time of waiting and spiritual housekeeping—in anticipation of the light and coming of spring. Instead of “giving up” something for lent, we will “give” our time and attention to a daily practice of meditation, writing, or other creative activity and share our discoveries from this practice in our weekly meetings.

In this workshop we will pay homage to the church year and the cycles of the seasons, but will also explore practices from other religious traditions as we seek to develop an attitude of loving kindness towards our selves and others. The workshop will establish a safe space in which participants can share their journeys and is open to those of all faiths who seek to develop a spiritual path.
