This six-week workshop is designed to help participants deepen their yoga practice through exercises in creative writing, meditation, and journaling.
Students will explore personal imagery surrounding the basic concept of setting an intention for yoga practice through spontaneous writing exercises in class and weekly journal jottings. As we “uncover” our “best self,” we will also discover what stands in the way of our intention and explore the ways in which intention can connect us with our “best self” and help us to align with a richer yoga practice.
We will warm up with a few simple poses, and do short meditations, but most of the workshop will be devoted to writing exercises and sharing. All that is required to join this class is an imagination, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to commit to the writing practice.
