Yoga 1.2

This is a Mixed Level Class, open to all levels of student.   It is ideal, but not necessary, to have a basic understanding of the Anusara Yoga® principles of alignment and teachings before joining this class.

Kara recommends taking Yoga 1 classes for 1 or 2 series (2 - 4 months) before joining this class.

The focus will be on deepening the student’s understanding of the basic alignment principles and poses learned in Yoga 1, while adding new poses. The key teachings will focus on building overall strength, especially in the arms and core, as well as stronger integration of the alignment principles in all categories of poses, including standing poses, hip openers, twists, and some backbends and basic arm/hand balances.

Yogic Breathing techniques will be introduced.
