
This class is for students new to Yoga and also for those new to Anusara Yoga®.
No prior yoga experience is necessary to join this class. The focus in this class will be on the foundational poses, alignment principles and actions, and breathing techniques of Anusara® and Hatha Yoga. Foundation of each pose, core strength, and suppleness of the spine will be the key teachings.
Basic Breath awareness exercises will also be introduced. If you have a physical limitation that makes it challenging or impossible to be on your hands and knees on the floor, or to move from standing to sitting/laying down or vice versa, please talk with the instructor prior to signing up for this class.
As always, modifications can and will be made as needed for each student’s unique abilities.
