Please check in at the desk and sign into each class before the session begins.
Protect your valuables. Leave valuables locked in your car, as the welcome area is not locked during classes. Spacious Heart yoga is not responsible for items lost or stolen.
Shoes and socks. Remove shoes and socks before entering the practice area. Practice will be done with bare feet unless you have a foot condition for which you need to keep your feet covered.
Mats. You are welcome to bring your own mat. The studio provides yoga mats and all other props (blocks, straps, blankets) as needed.
Towels. Bring a towel if you feel you need one for perspiration
Etiquette
Late arrival. If you are late, please come in and sit quietly by the studio door until the centering is over. Please wait until practice begins to set out your mat.
Cell phones. Turn off pagers and cell phones before class begins.
Fragrances. Be aware that others may be sensitive to fragrances, perfumes and colognes, and keep these scents to a minimum on the days you are coming to yoga.
Cleaning. Clean your mat after class so that we can keep our community healthy. Please fold the blankets and put away all props neatly at the end of class. Treat the bathrooms as unisex and help us keep them neat and clean for everyone to enjoy.
Enter/exit quietly. Please respect the other businesses in the building.
Clothing/Apparel
Comfort is key. Wear comfortable clothing in which you can move and breathe easily: t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, and leggings.
Layers. Dress in layers so that you can regulate your body temperature.
Jewelry. Wearing jewelry is fine as long as it does not get in the way of doing yoga.
Clothes to avoid. Denim pants or shorts, short shorts, baggy pants, baggy t-shirts, overly tight pants or shirts, belts.
Eating / Drinking
It's best not to eat 2-3 hours before yoga class. That said; please honor your body and any health conditions that may require you to eat a light snack 1-2 hours before class. Pregnant women are encouraged to eat whenever necessary for her and her baby’s health.
Water. Please bring a water bottle with a lid. There is also water available at the studio.
Gum. Please do not chew gum during class unless you need to for health reasons.
Open food/drink containers. Do not bring any open cups or bottles or food into the studio unless special circumstances allow for it.
