Frequently asked questions

These guidelines are important to create and support an optimal experience for you and everyone around you. At the heart, we ask you to respect yourself and others at all times and most importantly – have fun!

Parking
Free public parking is available on Main street, in front of the studio as well as Jefferson street, and 5th street. There is also a free city parking lot off of 3rd street.

Entrance
For the winter months we ask that you enter through the Jefferson street lobby doors of The Bubble.  The front entrance is located at 302 South Main, Suite 1 will open back up in April.

Protect your valuables
Please bring your valuables into the studio and place in the cubicle, as the welcome area is not locked during classes. Spacious Heart Yoga is not responsible for items lost or stolen. Please check in at the desk and sign into each class before the session begins, even if you pre-signed in on-line.

Fragrance
We strive to be a fragrance-free environment.  PLEASE avoid using any cologne, perfume, or other scented products on days when you will participate. Thank you so much for helping us keep the air clear.

Shoes and socks
Remove shoes before entering the practice area. Practice will be done with bare feet unless you have a foot condition for which you need to keep your feet covered.

Mats
You are welcome to bring your own mat. The studio provides yoga mats and all other props (blocks, straps, blankets) as needed.

Towels
Bring a towel if you feel you need one for perspiration

Etiquette

Late arrival
If you are late, please come in and sit quietly by the studio door until the centering is over. Please wait until practice begins to set out your mat.

Cell phones
Turn off pagers and cell phones before class begins.

Fragrances
Be aware that others may be sensitive to fragrances, perfumes and colognes, and keep these scents to a minimum on the days you are coming to yoga.

Cleaning
Clean your mat after class so that we can keep our community healthy. Please fold the blankets and put away all props neatly at the end of class. Treat the bathrooms as unisex and help us keep them neat and clean for everyone to enjoy.

Enter/exit quietly
Please respect the other businesses in the building.

Clothing/Apparel

Comfort is key
Wear comfortable clothing in which you can move and breathe easily: t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, and leggings.

Layers
Dress in layers so that you can regulate your body temperature.

Jewelry
Wearing jewelry is fine as long as it does not get in the way of doing yoga.

Clothes to avoid
Denim pants or shorts, short shorts, baggy pants, baggy t-shirts, overly tight pants or shirts, belts.

Eating / Drinking

It’s best not to eat 2-3 hours before yoga class. That said; please honor your body and any health conditions that may require you to eat a light snack 1-2 hours before class. Pregnant women are encouraged to eat whenever necessary for her and her baby’s health.

Water
Please bring a water bottle with a lid. There is also water available at the studio.Gum
Please do not chew gum during class unless you need to for health reasons.

Open food/drink containers
Do not bring any open cups or bottles or food into the studio unless special circumstances allow for it.
